Minis Test

For the past couple of years the Saracens have been developing mini rugby for children under 12. Starting at age 6, boys and girls learn the basic principles of rugby, in a safe, no-contact setting. They participate on mixed teams in tournaments throughout the summer, across Quebec.

The Minis’ representative to the Saracens’ Board of Directors is Jeannie Bryson. She, along with coaches and volunteers, will be setting up introduction to rugby workshops in several of the elementary schools throughout the Haut-Saint-Laurent/Chateauguay Valley region. The primary coach for the minis is Serge Tremblay. Practices will be held outdoors at Chateauguay Valley Regional High School starting in June.

This summer the Mini Saracens will kick off their 5th year on the pitch. We offer U6 to U12 mixed teams, no experience necessary.

Practices run June through August on Wednesday nights at CVR Highschool in Ormstown.

U10 and U12 teams participate in jamborees (tournaments) on Sunday mornings across Montreal and the south shore. U6 and U8 players have the choice to participate at jamborees.

Mark your calendars, as we are hosting our Mini Rugby festival in Ormstown on Sunday July 16th!
